Mommy and Daddy's first night out

Yesterday at work the secretary had free passes to go and see "Clerks II". She didn't want them so she put them on the notice board in the lunch room. I saw them and grabbed them. Called home and the mother in law to see if we could get a sitter so we could go out.

Got home and ate supper, waited until mom-in-law got here and then booted it downtown. Arrived with moments to spare. We had to sit in the second to front row but we were in the theatre.

I wont go into details, but I LOVE KEVIN SMITH. This is (adjective) brilliant. The film has everything that Jay and Silent Bob do best. And that is all I have to say about that.

Well that and Joel Seigel is an idiot

Not a Happy Camper

I haven't had a mosquito bite in years. Two nights ago I got a couple on my legs, which was suprizing since I was sitting in the house at the time. Last night I got a couple on my hands, while I was in bed sleeping. I tucked my hands and arms in under the blankets to avoid getting anymore bites. But apparently the little blighter did not get the hint. This one is on the edge of my eyelid and its caused my eye to swell shut. I have another one on my right cheek, but its not nearly as swollen.

Have I mentioned that I hate mosquitoes?

I am totally in love. I can't even really talk about it. But I loved this movie!

Becoming something I do not want to be

Last night the boys downstairs had a party. I like parties, and the fact that I wasn't invited has no bearing on my feelings about the party. It was not a quiet party, but good ones often aren't. Chloe slept through most of it. But she wakes up sometime between 1 and 3 in the morning for a midnight snack. Once she was up she couldn't get back to sleep. I had been awake for some time and we were both cranky.

So I went downstairs to tell them to cut it out. Mind you this was a 2:30 in the morning. So its not like I was being a spoil sport. I don't want to be the kind of person who complains about people having fun. But I think that means that people have to have fun in a way that would not cause others to want to complain. What really drove me over the edge was someone playing guitar while the stereo was blasting. Pick one, either serenade your friends with the only song you know, or let Jim Morrisson belt on the stereo

remains

So today I am cranky and I have that head full of cotton feeling like a hangover, but from lack of sleep.
